We are transforming aquaculture industry byproducts into next-generation collagen biomaterials.

DEVELOPMENT

WASTE INTO
WEALTH

While touring one of the largest fish processing operations in the world, our team identified a precious, underutilized byproduct stream… fish skins.

Historically seen as waste, these byproducts were being cast off to rendering plants allowing tremendous value to escape…as fish skins contain extremely valuable Type I collagen, the “crown jewel” of the collagen world.

That’s when our team realized they could make a difference. With our knowledge and resources, we have the potential to transform these byproducts from waste to wealth.

DEVELOPMENT

NEXT
GENERATION
COLLAGEN

The ProCol Health team is developing leading-edge raw material collection to ensure that the highly valued collagen (which nature generously bound into the contents of these marine byproducts) can be extracted and still maintain its native quality.

Our proprietary manufacturing practices are centered on producing next-generation collagenous biomaterials without the use of traditional methods requiring vast amounts of enzymes and time.

PURPOSE-DRIVEN

UPCYCLING

Traditional manufacturing practices are imperfect. There’s too much waste. As a purpose-driven company motivated by circular economy solutions, we focus all our efforts on upcycling byproducts in the most sustainable manner, ultimately creating the highest-valued products.
